“Art In A Bowl” Holiday Workshop - Abstract Photography for Kids
(ages 6 - 12)
In this hands-on workshop experience, children will be experimenting abstract photography with everyday materials such as oils & water, tinkering possibilities with the goal of creating art through photography.
”Art in a bowl” will allow children to discover and develop their own special eye towards details. Children will learn that photography is more than just techniques. It is an art form, a way to facilitate an idea or concept. We will engage them in activities that allow them to create art through photos, building a fusion of photography and art.
*Prior knowledge of cameras is not required. Children will be taught basic photography skills.
Date: 20 March 2019 (Wednesday)
Time: 10am - 12pm (2hrs)
Fee: $45 (*All materials included)
Venue: 1 Mactaggart Rd, Singapore 368089 (nearest mrt station, Tai Seng)
10am: Welcome & introduction
Learning about different types of photography & how to use the camera
10:15am: Tinker, play and take pictures
Kids will explore, tinker with the materials provided and create their own version of abstract art, and take pictures of it
11am: Get Crafty!
Kids will pick a picture from the series they took and have them printed
Kids will decorate their frames and get their masterpiece ready to be hanged up on their home walls
11:45am: Review, Show & Tell
Kids will take turns to share their work with everyone!
Things to Note:
This workshop is for children aged 6 yrs to 12 yrs
All materials for the workshop will be provided e.g. Compact Digital Cameras with memory card, materials for crafts
Duration of this workshop will be 2hrs
Participants will bring home:
A printed photograph of participants’ choice
A photo frame decorated by participant
Softcopy of participants’ photos
